چکیده
Background: Hypospadias is a congenital defect involving the male urethra characterized by absence of urethral meatus at its normal position. This anomaly usually associated with ventrally deficient but dorsally hooded skin. In some cases, penis curved. Surgery option for this defect. So many procedures have been developed none free from development urethrocutaneous fistula. Now-a-days, popular Snodgrass procedure widely practiced still fistula occurs. Many factors are thought to be responsible it. The most important one defective ventral penile skin which vascular and collagen tissues. To minimize these factors, dorsal preputial flap transferred (modified) reduce formation further. A comparative study was disigned determine role flap. Methods: prospective observational conducted in department pediatric surgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib medical university, Dhaka, Bangladesh since February 2017 May 2021.Results: total 40 patients distal hypospadias were included study. They divided into Group group B, 20 each. modified done B. outcome both groups determined terms formation. Seven group-A patient B results analyzed found statistically significant. Conclusions: Modified urethroplasty has better outcome.

Comparison of Mathieu Vs Tubularized Incised Plate (snodgrass) Techniques of Urethroplasty in Distal Penile Hypospadias
Background: Hypospadias is a congenital abnormality characterized by opening of external urethral meatus on ventral aspect of the penis with an overall incidence of 1:300. Different treatment modalities have been employed in the treatment of distal penile hypospadias with varying degrees of success and complications. A number of studies have compared Mathieu and Snodgrass Techniques but the exi...
متن کاملComparison of Tunica Vaginalis flap with Dartos flap in reducing post-operative fistula after TIP
Tabularised incised plate urethroplasty (TIP) or Snodgrass procedure is a well accepted technique for distal penile hypospadias repair. Its main complication is formation of urethrocutaneous fistula in the post operative period. Different investigators have tried different reinforcement over neo-urethra to prevent fistula formation. Snodgrass originally applied Dartos flap over neo-urethra. But...
متن کاملTubularized incised plate urethroplasty for distal and mid-penile hypospadias.
Tubularized incised plate urethroplasty was performed to repair 20 distal and 5 mid-penile hypospadias cases. In distal hypospadias repair meatal stenosis occurred in 1 patient and urethral fistula in another. The overall complication rate in this group was thus 10%. Among midpenile hypospadias cases meatal stenosis was observed in 1 (20%) patient. As a conclusion, tubularized incised plate ure...
متن کاملSnodgrass' urethroplasty in hypospadias surgery in Clinical Hospital Mostar--preliminary report.
Amongst the various methods of reconstructing the hypospadic urethra such as the MAGPI, Mathieu's and Preputial island flap urethroplasty method and the Snodgrass method, the latter is being used more frequently nowadays in patients with the urethral meatus located in the proximity of the penis. In the Pediatric ward at Mostar Clinical Hospital, we have recently adopted the Snodgrass method whe...
